this is a trade AA *didn't* make that looks as good as the made on for Gausman.
And if I recall Pitt had very little chance to actually make the playoffs. What a weird trade.

Isn't Pittsburgh's pitching coach one of those "I can turn around any pitcher who has "lost it" and make them back into what they used to be or better"? I wonder what they might give us for Newk?

Mets walk in the tying run with Diaz in the pen.

Why even have an elite bullpen arm if you aren’t willing to bring him in for a 4-out save?

Phillys defense looks just as good as it did last year. Yeesh. Hoskins has made two errors that Freeman would have easily made. The second error led to the go ahead run and after the error their second baseman threw a 10 hopper home from shallow right field. Lol all the way around.

That trade was more about Diaz than Cano but yeah that contract can/will be very bad soon.

He was a 2.9 fWAR guy last year with an .845, so I'm sure they were planning on offense from him. If he does bomb though, they can move lowrie to 2b
    when he's healthy

    cano has a .213 BABIP.
i'd pump the brakes on calling him finished.

True, but he's K'n at 22.9%. His next highest K rate was 15.9% in 2015. Still early though

Yelich had three bombs and seven RBIs last night. The Marlins traded him for Brinson. lmao.

the heart burn from that and some of their other moves likely is why they were tough to deal with on JTR.

Considering Glasnow couldn't throw a strike in Pittsburgh, maybe the Braves ought to look at Tampa.

Dudes insane, i guess asking for Acuna wasnt bad, but the offer they had to settle for has gotta sting with as good as Yelich has been must hurt.

Man i wanted Yelich bad on the Braves, i woulda let the Marlins take any 3-4 players not named Ozzie or Acuna from our system at the time.

Realistically, it would have meant trading Albies+.

Whether that would have been wise continues to be a see saw. With Albies' extension it may be pointing more towards no.

Hell, I would have easily traded Ozzie for him and was vocal about that around the time. Still, I REALLY wish he was a Brave.

I think it was Acuna or no deal from the Marlins.

Albies extension and Acuna's will allow the Braves to shop at the big boys table, those two deals save the Braves an insane amount of money.

Marlins wanted a top OF prospect for Yelich. We didn't line up well with them.

Yelich would look pretty good in a Braves uniform. I wish they had pulled the trigger on him if there was any way to get him without including Acuna/Ablies.
