Obviously we dealing with a SSS, but FIP is 2.92 and fWAR is 0.4 after 2 starts... 6.0 fWAR pace based on a 30 start season. Allard has been good.

That will not last if he continues to walk guys like that. Dealing with small sample size luck and new league adjusting to him. I am rooting for him. But the peripherals are a bit shaky

uh, yeah...SSSS - super small sample size. his xFIP is 4.91. i don't think he's been "good."

The latest, greatest stat for pitchers is .253 (xwoba). Is that good?

That tells me more that guys are not squaring him up very well. Good sign but can it hold up.

Doubt it. I'm not predicting long term success... just stated he's been good so far

little indicates he's been good. he's walked 6 in 10 IP.

“I don’t know,” Snitker said when asked if Camargo was pressing. “I don’t feel like I ever put any pressure on guys. We’re just going to keep running guys out there and try to keep everyone as fresh as you can. It’s a big hole when you lose your shortstop (Swanson) and you’re trying to fill. We’ll do it with the couple guys we have and try to keep them as fresh as we can.”

hmmm...the word fresh seems to be oddly inserted into the answer to this question...it seems contextually misplaced

anyone want to try their hand at deconstructing this

along with the radio music it hints at a coup

The FO asked snit to stop using ‘good’. So he found another word.

The FO obviously did their monthly sit down with Snit, and the topic was resting his regulars by utilizing platoon advantages. The analytics team probably showed him some metrics tracking how much better guys play when given regular rest...fresh OPS vs tired TOPS....FOPS vs TOPS.

Now Snit has the word "fresh" hammered into his brain, and is using the correct platoon match ups.

Makes sense as to why Neck is sitting in the bullpen every night.

He wants nothing to do with Snit.
