I'm hoping to see Thomas Burrows get on a run like he did in Mississippi last year. He may be able to help in the Atlanta bullpen this year.

Folty with 3 walks and 2 runs in first. Must be working on his emotional meltdown game. He is close.

Sounds like he's ready to pitch for Atlanta

Folty has been terrible tonight, could be worse than the 5-2 score now.

Harrison a lefty reliever should help us at some point this year, he is talented. G-Braves just made a nice comeback and now lead 8-5, Harrison relieved Folty after 3.2 inning and 5 runs allowed. Duvall has no homers yet in AAA but is hitting .308 with a number of doubles, 1-2 with a BB so far tonight. Riley off to a slow start at .186 is 0-2 with a BB so far tonight. Hopefully he gets going soon.

I must've jinxed Harrison, or that long 4 run inning and his sitting and coming back out for a third inning hurt him. They had him come back out and he hit a batter, walk and double and error makes it 8-7 with a runner on third. That said, I still stand by him being a good pitcher who will help us at some point. I think sitting that long between innings did him in this time. Plus his control at times is his undoing anyway. But when he has it he is hard to hit.

I have an amazing stat for you. Wentz pitched tonight for Mississippi, allowed one unearned run and struck out seven, including four of the last five batters he faced. But with two outs in the fifth, ahead 5-1, having struck out the last two hitters he faced, Wentz was removed from the game after 82 pitches. The relievers schlepped around and walked a half dozen the rest of the way in what turned out to be a 13-4 win. But no decision for Wentz.

Now here's the stat: Through nine games of the season, Mississippi Braves starters are a collective 0-0. That's right -- no wins, no losses. No pitcher has been allowed to go five innings. Old school me says WTF?

Bad pitching night, but that’s an encouraging stat.

Both pache and waters are giving reason to believe we can dole out big money for rendon or donaldson this offseason.

Limiting innings... perhaps we see some of these guys in Atlanta later this year?

Feels pretty standard that they'd build guys up as the year goes on.

I really think Muller can help in the pen this year. I'd leave Anderson and Wentz alone starting.

Pretty bold take on Muller. He’s a bit behind and needs innings. I wouldn’t do any such thing with a guy like that.

Demeritte is having a nice start (but I think I said the same thing last season). Mostly DHing given Duvall and the AAAAs Ortega and LaMarre as the everyday OF, but it would be nice if he could string something together.

Not trying to be an ass. But if we are in a chase for the playoffs, I hope the master plan is something more than to rely on a guy who hasn’t pitched higher than AA to provide quality BP innings.

A decent utility guy would be a pleasant outcome for him.

Impressed by how Waters is handling an aggressive promotion. Hitting in a tough park for hitters too.

Only 6 Ks in 36 PA so far. Almost certainly small sample stuff, but still surprising for him.

Comparing where they were at when they left Rome, Waters looked vastly better than Pache at the plate. I'm impressed by Pache's growth because he always looked overmatched to me in low A. Waters always looked ready to move up.
