    Acuna Unreal takes

This has never been done, but we need to keep track.

Okay, last night homer 448 ft, one foot shy of the record for a 21 year old.

That is unreal. More importantly, he was ALMOST on his knees and a mph that exceeds 110? That is unreal.

Mods feel free to delete it. But there is more. Yes he as struck out...looking on good pitches, but not swinging, that is a difference for someone that young. That is unreal.

I know. But what I witnessed last night was just there are no words for it.

Then to soften it, he takes walks on pitches I swear they would call him out on.

He almost flagged down a ball that he dropped because of his glove when he was playing a long way away.

What you would you do? He is incredible.

What made that HR more incredible last night is that it was to right center. Having opposite field power like that at his age is scary. What will he be like at 25?

Taking pitches take heart and understanding. I realized that he looks for certain pitches and type to drill. When he does, oh my. How can someone of his size generate that much power and bat speed. When you look at highlight you think, "well he didn't hit it that hard!" 400 foot later then they know.

He is special, not Trout range.....yet, but we might have the National League version of him. He just have to figure out the rest.

I remember Dale Murphy growing up and my favorite player. He used to pull everything, even at his height, but when he go to right almost all the time, he became deadly. He wore out the right field fence in AfCS.

    If Acuna does that.

    I feel sorry for pitchers.

    What is happening here?
"Acuna is getting lucky, just like CJ did when he batted .321 and won a batting title. He is unlikely to get lucky at the MLB level over an extended period of time. He will settle in around .300-.320 just like everyone else, and when he does, he won't be within shouting distance of the 1.000 OPS he is posting in AAA...more like low .700s in 2018." -Enscheff 8/25/17

Ronald Acuna Jr. since WW2 players up through their 21 year old season (the season Acuna is doing right now) he's tied for 33rd in fWAR with Joe Morgan and Justin upton, he has 600 less PA than Upton and 200 less than Morgan. If he matches his total from last year (3.7) he will move up to 17th. If he does what he's projected to do via ZIPS (5.5) that will put him 13th all time, just behind Johnny Bench. He'll do this only around 1000 PA. The only players in the top 30 under 1200 PA are Correa, Pujols, Henderson, Aaron, Stanton, Heyward, Brunansky, and Albies. So in a pretty solid collection of talent there.

Acuna's progression is pretty remarkable. Just from his time in the majors his strikeouts have decreased while his walks have gone up. All while showing elite level power.
