Which amazing BP pitcher should he have used instead?

Sobotka having an unbelievable hot/lucky streak last year was the worst thing that could've happened for this season. Apparently AA bought it

I think we just hit a team playing very well that really isn’t near that good. It happens. Not going to beat many teams scoring three runs in two games. Bullpen lost us the first game ...

Again, I just don’t understand how bullpen guys can dominate and then just forget how to pitch. I’ll never understand it. I know it’s a game of adjustments, but he just had nasty stuff last year.

Then you simply don’t understand what a small sample size is.

His stuff is largely the same.

I said on here at the start of the season we would be lucky to get out of apr. with a winning record and was expecting to be .500...many thought I was crazy.

It will get better...or at least should lol.

I get small sample size and still even this year he has been lights out a few times. It’s the control problems that really kill me. How all the sudden....you just can’t throw a strike. He isn’t the only one of course.

Pretty sure AA did plenty of in season work on the bullpen last year and I’m pretty sure he’ll do the same this year. In case you didn’t know you don’t have to finish the season with the same roster you start the season with.

All of a sudden? Sobotka had a BB/9 of almost 6 last year.

I’m not sure who thought he was some sort of control artist.

A large part of the BP answer is already in the organization. The sooner they pull the plug on some of these SPs, the sooner the BP will improve.

The positive to takeaway from this game is that Soroka is back and looks to be as good as usual. Hopefully the health scare was just a scare.

When the rotation is Folty, Gaus, Soroka, Teheran and one of Fried or Touki the BP can start to be bolstered by guys like Newk and Touki and Wilson.

A very disappointing series for sure. Hopefully they get it straightened out in Ohio.

The sooner that rotation takes the field and everybody gets the going, the sooner the BP will straighten out. I agree completely that the solution to the BP is internal. They’re areplenty of arms to be used to supplement the BP. Service time shouldn’t be hugely considered with these average type arms because most just aren’t true difference makers anyway.

Not that his calling people a d*ckhead was really any better but that post is really inappropriate.

Can we all grow up a bit? We are not all going to agree all the time and that should be fine.
