It's silly to feel this way, but Jackson and Winkler are the only two I don't feel pessimistic about at this point. Edit- and nsacpi reminds me of Parsons. He's done well.
Has Enscheff done one of his evaluations of Parsons? I'd like to see that. His sinker/slider combo looks pretty good. Has gotten lots of ground balls throughout his career. And he throws strikes.

The Freeman and Winkler moves were truly puzzling. Both perfectly adequate BP arms who were left off the MLB roster in favor of lesser options.

Sam would fit right in with our current BP. 5 walks in 7 innings with a 1.7 whip inAAA

Sam Freeman being here or not isn't the problem. The problem is that we don't have any better option. The neglect of the pen has been baffling.

Yeah. But some of the guys I wanted are ****ting the bed too. I liked Kelvin at his price. I would have liked romo too if we scored a bigger name first. JJ might add some stabilization if we could get him cheaply.

For those of you pining for Sam Freeman, here's why he was released per DOB:

Vizcaíno’s injury was just the latest wrench thrown into the works of a Braves bullpen that started to take on water during spring training when O’Day got injured again (forearm strain; he’s still not throwing and isn’t expected back before at least June) and left-hander Sam Freeman was released after changing his throwing motion in the offseason and seeing a decline in his velocity and effectiveness.

With the pen in complete shambles, am I really the only person that can't fathom why on earth Vizcaino hasn't been transferred to the 60-Day IL to create a roster spot yet?

If O'Day really isn't expected back before then, wouldn't it make sense to move him there as well?

Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

I think its just procedural. Whenever they find someone to take the spot they'll move him.

May have been discussed elsewhere but I saw on twitter that the Giants were willing to move some relievers. Do they have anyone who would be an upgrade?

    Almost everyone in their bullpen.

There is some type of roster move, I can’t temeber which, that can’t be done unless the 40 man is full. That’s the reason teams keep it full until a spot needs to be opened.

OK, fess up, which one of you was this?

    BravesFan92
8:12 Mark Melancon and Cash for Cristian Pache? Who say No?
    Mark P
8:12 The Braves. If they're willing to move Pache for a reliever, they can do better than a question mark like Melancon
    (I didn't mean to make a question mark/Mark pun there, I swear)

There were a bunch of 2nd tier relievers moved last year for relative pennies. I remember being really bummed when we didn't pull the trigger on a Keone Kela trade. I'd like to see us start making some moves like that. Trade some organizational depth for guys who have the ability to provide top shelf middle relief or adequate 7th/8th/9th inning work.

This is literally the dumbest thing I have read on the internet... at least since someone around here predicted us to win 82 games last season anyway

Last year it was Chuckie who took the blame for poor walk rates, now Kranitz/Reed are under the gun. AA should be in front of a canon but...

The BP needs some BIG adjustments. The Braves throwers have walked a total of 108 hitters with the BP having 56 of those. Who the hell is teaching these kids in the minors??
