I think there is one angle that the Chosen One and his supporters could plausibly pursue, and they might yet do it. Which is to blame Rudy and say he fed the Chosen One bad information. I don't for a minute think this is exculpatory. But at least it is something that is not ridiculous to argue.

I think he got the idea from Putin, or maybe they came up with it together in one of their unchaperoned talks. Ukraine works for both of them.

State Department IG is apparently going to talk to Congress today about potential political retaliation against diplomats regarding Ukraine.

They know it's a lie.

They're not trying to convince you or I. They know they have people like thethe and sturg in their pocket. They're more concerned about losing the people on the fringe who could be the deciding factor in if their representative or senator starts leaning towards Impeachment.

Little Donnie is losing it at this point. The dozens of manic, mad tweets per day, every day, for nearly a week now. The calls for civil war. The presser in which he just called impeachment bull**** and said Schiff can't carry Pompeo's jockstrap. All composure gone.

If it gets to a hearing in the Senate it's over. I think they know that which is why they are on a full court press to try and stop it. While no one believes Republicans will act with integrity in their vote the key will be getting the evidence out to the people. Most people dont pay attention beyond the headlines but an impeachment trial will be big news every day. This is will an actual trial with a competent judge presiding over it wher they will have to actually make legal arguments and factual statements. When all is out there I think it will be extremely clear that Trump is a national security liability and must be removed.
