At the age of 25 he may be one of those exceptions where an older guy figures out the control.

I don’t know much about determining the sustainability of an improved BB rate, so it’s something to dig into a bit to see if it’s really real.
The pitch that impress me the most was the 3-2 breaking ball that was really nasty. The batter froze and it comfortably hit the upper echelon of the zone. Man to have that control on one of the most filthiest pitches in the majors is good.

Pitchers don't throw secondary pitches on 3-2 unless they knew they had control. He had it. What is worse or good for us, he knows he can get better.

Dr. Scheff, can you breakdown Fried's appearance, please. I mean it seriously. Something was different this time.

Yeah the Padres are a horrible offensive team.

He has been better behaved this year. You have to admit that.

But no one can break things down like he could.

I just want to see the curve and slider parts. They were nasty.

And dissected even our putrid bullpen did good except for Webb.

I just want the ballistics on the pitches because he was nasty.

Camargo is better anyway, and Riley is better than them both. Riley is the best 3b prospect since... well, maybe ever.
