The reports we've been getting back on #Braves outfielder Drew Waters are good. The reports we've been getting back on Cristian Pache, however, are on an entirely different level.

Pache's 239 ISO is certainly eye popping

3 spots open with 3 top 100 prospects ( maybe even top 50s) perculating in the high minors.

Kinda crazy to think just a year ago that we didn’t have OF spects to speak of and now maybe two top guys a year and a half later

Ill never understand why AA jettisoned the guys running the draft and development team. They flopped a royal flush for 4+ years.

Waters was a good pick, but I don’t think anyone expected him to be trucking this hard this quick.

I for one think Neck comes back next year and the Braves go hard after Rendon.

I have serious doubts we go with an Acuna/Pache/Waters OF at any point next year unless injuries happen.

Gerritt Cole or Strasburg. Go with youth in the everyday lineup and in the firld. Get a legit ace on this team.

Agreed....his aggressive promotion certainly gave indication what the scouts were seeing though

Considering the fact that everyone seems to run from long commitments to anyone over 25 years old like the plague these days, even if you're willing to completely discount Riley as an option, I have a really hard time seeing a Rendon type of signing. Especially when guys like Grandal, Ozuna, and Eaton could potentially be had on 3 or 4 year deals.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

It is possible that we have a homegrown lineup in 2021 or 2022. Riley at 3rd, Waters and Pache in the OF, and Contreras at catcher with all the current homegrown guys coming back. It would take a pretty extraordinary set of circumstances, but it is possible.

One thing I think we take for granted is how immensely lucky we have been in terms of player development. Two or three years ago everyone was dwelling on our lack of position player prospects. Somehow we developed the best young hitter in baseball, an all star 2nd basemen, and a SS who looks like he is taking his game to another level. Not to mention a very good utility player in Camargo. We also have 4 other top 100 prospects who are playing really well at the moment. Really, really lucky.

Matt Withrow is back for Florida. 3.1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K. Would love to see him bounce back and have a good year after being out for so long.

I just saw that too. Completely forgot about that kid. Hopefully they just transition him and Weigel to only pen duty. Also notice Wilson came out of the pen tonight too.

I may be off the mark, but I wonder how close the Braves came to losing Waters in the Coppygate fallout.

Riley homers again. Also has a double, walk and strikeout.
