I’m fine with resting guys, I just hope this is just a day of rest for Donaldson and his calf hasn’t flared up again.

Why would Donaldson need rest when he just came off a three day injury rest. Something flared up again on him

JD is likely to be treated as if he were a 140 game catcher, meaning no day games after night games. It was pretty obvious Acuna would be given a day after leaving in the 7th last night.

I could see that about JD. The turn around thing is real. I knew Acuna would be off.

Nice Camargo starting should bring us a lot closer to Ensheff’s 100 PA analysis on him. I’m really concerned the Braves might be ruining him.

    You can’t ruin good players.

Let me put it this way: if Camargo can’t play at a major league level, just because he’s getting 150 fewer PA, he has no business being in the big leagues.

Also, he played fine in 2017 with less than 300 PA, so this narrative that he needs to play everyday needs to end.

Catchers have been performing offensively with less than 500 PAs forever. I’ve never heard of limited PAs “ruining” a catcher.

Camargo is getting plenty of chances to stay as sharp as he’s going to be, and shouldn’t be worn down from playing everyday for extended stretches.

Chances are he’s just a 1-2 win guy if played everyday, and his versatility makes him an ideal bench option. Just like I pegged him a while ago.

It’s not the fact that he doesn’t play everyday it’s the fact that no matter what he does it’s never enough. 1st trying to play RF over him then Bautista then after the FO is forced to give Camargo a fair shake he puts up around 3 fWAR and still loses playing time the next year.

He’s not as good as people make him out to be, let’s be honest the team is better with him on our bench as he can play multiple positions. If you can’t see that I don’t know what to tell you.
