Going on the DL - strained hammy from running the bases and got spiked when he slid head-first at the plate yesterday.

I respect sticking with the planned process of making sure the younger pitchers stay fine, but it kind of might end up really sucking pending the results the next two days. If Gausman gets hit hard while the Braves do hit Buehler to the tune of 3-4 (or more runs) and a loss comes off that, then you have Fried throw well (6 innings and 1-2 runs) but the Braves don't get anything off of Ryu...lord that is going to feel awful.

I posted it when I got to the office this morning. I like to have my coffee and surf the web. It makes sense, thus why I do it. I likely won't be online when the lineup comes out, especially since this is a late-night game for us on EST.

There used to a “rule” or like an unwritten agreement about that. For awhile we kept the GDT creations serious business. I thought I did a fine job “managing” that process, but all I catch is a hate around these parts.

Believe they just saw it as a chance to buy an extra day of rest for everyone since Gausman only threw 20 something pitches on Saturday.

No word, but Fried is starting Tuesday. Gausman didnt pitch much on Friday so i'll assume it's just to give Fried an extra day of rest.
