Been a tough season for Bryce Wilson. 33 losses is a lot to take

Wondered where he was after the minor league rosters were first released. I didn't see him released on any of the transaction pages, but one can never tell. Just another example of how the international market is a real toss of the dice. Cruz was generally more highly-regarded than Pache when they were signed. Cruz has not been good to this point, but he's still fairly young.

I remember Cruz set it on fire his first assignment and Pache struggled... then the next season Pache never looked back

Bryse Wilson (age 21 in AAA) 8 walks 35Ks in 38 innings. Reason to believe.

Some people seem to forgot how good Bryse has been. At a minimum, he should be a high-leverage BP arm.

Also forgotten is he was taken in the fourth round of the 2016 draft after Anderson (round 1), Wentz (supplemental), and Muller (2nd round). All were high school picks. Wilson has been a level higher than those guys even though they are all the same age and picked the same year out of high school.

The interesting part too is that when Cruz and Pache first came over the were essentially taught the same thing: hit the ball hard on the ground and use the speed to get on. Cruz did it ok at first. He had a lot thrown at him and didn't adjust like Pache did. He's athletic to be sure but just hasn't put it together. It all affected even his defense. Hope he figure it out. Not sure he will though.

I remember their first season stateside, they both did well in the GCL. Both got promoted to the Appy League as 17 year olds that year. And at that point their hitting results started to diverge. And it has continued to diverge.

least it wasn't the Braves who paid HO.
but we have lots of Good Cops who have made the team viable for the foreseeable future...thank god for people who knew how to draft!
