1.5 out of 1st is nothing. I think we sign Kimbrel in less than a month and make a move for another starter before the deadline. We’ll be in the hunt all season imo.

It becomes more and more clear by the day that Markakis belongs in the leadoff slot. Perhaps if Riley hits well for a while Snit will feel comfortable batting him 5th.

It seems to me Riley has really changed his approach, but gosh he is Glaus size and I did not know that, he almost weigh as much as Gattis when he came up and doesn't look it, pure athlete is what I see. They will adjust to him and he needs to readjust, but yes if he continues to hit and do the re-adjustments, I can see someone will be in for defense only in the late innings.
I don't want to say anything bad about any of our players that played decently to good for us over the years.
One thing that has impressed me with Riley thus far is how mature his approach looks to have become. He doesn't look like he's trying to hit every pitch out of the stadium. He looks like he's got a plan up there and may have developed his hit tool quite a bit more than I expected. He's just so massive and strong that a good number of those hits are gonna clear the wall. He's definitely more athletic, and limber than I expected.
Not sure if it's what I would do, but starting to feel like we will sign Kimbrel after the draft and then make a real effort to trade for Madbum to replace on of Teheran/Folty (I'd imagine Folty to the IL eventually as Teheran is pitching really well the first 2 times through the lineup). The early data on Madbum seems promising with velocity back up a bit. He's not an ace but he'd be perfect for what we need if he's not too expensive and that's the wild card - price. Kimbrel and Madbum would make us pretty scary given everything else stays remotely similar. I don't see Riley going back down if he stays productive, so I wonder what happens to Inciarte.
He’s gotten some bad strike calls as well.

MLB says he's 6'3", 220 LBs. BIG BOY!!!
What do we do in 10 days if Riley is still producing. Seems like the two choices would be Johan down or Joyce cut/traded.

We looked good the past few games with the exception of the first game in the cardinals series...imagine if Donaldson and Acuña go on a hot streak.
Also it really helps that Soroka and Fried are pitching great. Teheran is doing okay as well.
