Remember when we were disappointed with a Flowers/Mac catching duo and thought Anderson plus Riley for JTR was acceptable?
I was totally fine with the Mac/Flowers platoon.
People here wanted JTR but I thought Mac was a shrewd move. Especially with our young pitchers.

To be fair, that’s before we knew Riley had a chance to be a top-10 hitter.
The two used tonight came in with ERA's over 6, so looks more like the Brewers chalking this up as a loss and saving their good arms for next two.
Fried could probably go 1-2 more but no point in keeping him in now with the score being what it is.
