His hit on the 11th was a PH HR. will he be optioned when Inciarte returns if Riley is still smoking hot? He appears to be the odd man out unless the Braves go to a 5 man bench with that chance being slim and none.

He needs to play more than Snit is giving him the opportunities IMO.
All the talk about Camargo playing some games in place of resting Markakis more, and for Swanson and Albies when they are slumping hasn't happened. Bad managing of the roster imo by Snit.

It's uncommon for players to do what Culberson has done thus far. Stay sharp enough to have success off the bench without starting hardly any games. But as the season goes along even Culberson will get rusty from lack of playing time like anyone else would.

For sure. Looks like he will play for Donaldson tomorrow. But I'd like to see Bae and Muk be given a game off now and then. I guess we haven't faced too many lefties lately. Believe we will face at least one in San Francisco.

Ugh, I hate these Fox 'National Broadcasts' because they aren't actually national, but regional coverage. Here in Colorado we never see the Braves on it. Tonight it's Cubs, next Saturday it's Dodgers.

Agree with this, and it's pretty frustrating. Both Albies and Markakis could really benefit from a day off here and there. We all thought this was the plan coming into the season, and it hasn't materialized. Hopefully they get a day off tomorrow and we can see Culberson and Camargo in there

I am bummed for JV- got to know his wife and kid a little bit at a few games this year. Wonderful people. Hope he bounces back and and finds an MLB home. He can still throw heat.
    Good luck to Everyday Johnny!

Sometimes I start feeling sorry for mlb players too, and then I remind myself that these guys are mlb players... no reason to feel sorry for them. They've lived the life and if they're smart, they have a hell of a nest egg for post baseball life

Yes - but they are human beings, and the dream of winning a WS with your favorite team- and closing that ninth inning in Yankee Stadium in your Braves cap (or against them in Suntrust) that every kid dreams of is over.

Cain hits a shot to open the game and simultaneously illustrates Riley's inexperience as an outfielder.

You have a guy 0-2 and you throw three non-competitive pitches. I hate that ****-

I know Gausman is going to have a loooooong rope, but really need one of him or Folty to get it together. Can't go through the season needing to win every game Fried and Soroka pitch

I have never felt comfortable when Gausman is on the mound. 30 pitch 1st and 2 runs is not good.

Two runs scored due to a soft bleeder. I'm not concerned yet.
