I am sure it’s been talked about, but what are expectations before either one is actually ready to pitch?

A BP arm should be able to ramp up more quickly than a SP.
I’m guessing DK will need at least 2 starts in AAA, while CK may only need a couple appearances in AAA to be deemed ready.
I think the Twins are a team that could add one of these guys. Word is there was some interest months ago and Kimbrel liked them or something. They (Twins) are in a similar situation to what many here thought about the Braves last season. Their window was opening sooner than anticipated.

Kimbrel will make a great eighth inning guy for Jackson.

Kimbrel - closer
Jackson - 8th
Minter - 7th
Newk- LR/multi-inning
Touki- LR/multi-inning
Webb- situational
Swarzak- MR
Winkler- MR
Webb can be used in a high leverage situation for 1 or 2 outs when we are in trouble. Or take the 7th/8th depending on usage...
I’d still like to pick up a lefty specialist..
But that pen becomes a strength
Get off my lawn!
Looks like Swarzakmania is sweeping the boards.

I doubt CK wants a multi year deal unless, it's 3 years guaranteed at 15 million in AAV at least. I'd be willing to be he wants the highest 1 year offer he can get and then go after a multi year deal in FA. If he pitches well and stays healthy, it's pretty likely he at least matches what Zach Britton got this past off-season. It's even possible a dumb team with money to burn gives him the big contract he really wants at 60+ million.
