I honestly thought Kimbrel would be signed by now and headed to some MiLB city to get a few tune up appearances either tonight or tomorrow.
Could likely be attributed to the fact that MLB wants as many eyes on the draft as humanly possible - much like during the playoffs. Part of the reason there are less than a handful of games today with most of them starting LATE.Originally Posted by bravesfanforlife88

I don’t think we’d have to worry about the rotation much. Fried and Soroka both have some question marks for durability and giving them a few extra off days wouldn’t hurt, not to mention Folty is returning from injury. I don’t really doubt that DK is better than Julio or Gausman (or honestly any of our rotation this year) and it always makes sense to upgrade if you’re in the hunt.
You can never have too much pitching depth but I would be surprised if we are targeting DK over Kimbrel. That said it would likely take a few weeks to get DK ready for the rotation so that would give the team more time to see who they would bump or if they go with a 6 man rotation for awhile.

Not a big fan of DK. I’d rather go after CK, this team needs an established closer. Luke Jackson is a nice story but you can’t count on him
