I thought about taking the family to Rome today. Then I saw the mid 90s forecast and decided to sit in the pool instead.

Curious to see what the scouting reports are on Demeritte. Two-dimensional stats don't always tell the whole story. Striking out a little less and hitting the ball well. Probably lost in the logjam for now, but it's a long season.

Rome has a cool deal for Sundays where you get 4 tickets, hats, burgers, drinks, and popcorns for $50. Great deal. But ain't nothing fun at 92 degrees.

Demeritte with another good game in AAA. What is the deal with that team right now? It seems like every night they are getting 3-4 homers.

Muller appears to be putting it all together on the mound. Control is improved and he's K-ing guys at his usual high rate.

Muller is really interesting. Keeps missing bats, walks are steadily decreasing, and he’s touching the mid-to-upper 90s.

early season walk numbers looking like a bit of fluke, just like Anderson’s.

These kids are still so young and have so much time. As you noted the bb numbers were more of a blip so its very possible they have been working on their secobdary offerings.

I saw Muller in person in Rome. The guy is HUGE. Made guys 6’2 look like kids. The ball has to feel like it’s just leaving his fingers across the plate lol. He isn’t just tall either. Massive fella.

I really like muller. But he should be a kid gloves starter IMO.

He's a gigantic lefty. He has to work to keep the delivery repeatable. He's also had multiple dead arm issues. I'd be super careful with his workload and use the depth of guys above him to move him very slowly through the system. If he's amazing then maybe he forces his way onto the expanded rosters/postseason roster at the end of NEXT year. Then you are likely in a time where you are looking at what you do with Folty long term.

What? 20 innings of wildly high rate walks wasn’t the new normal? Go figure.
