They clearly should have looked to add a genius sales engineer to the moderator group?

I do find it funny that you were the main guy cheering him on in that debate. What do you think now, hero?

Maybe someone will give us enscheff's predictive stat... I've gotta work
The funny thing is you claim to be too busy to look up xwOBA, but it took me less time to look that up than it took you to look up and regurgitate all those stats that are collectively less useful than the single xwOBA value.

If you're short on time I would suggest going straight to xwOBA to save time. It will stop you from looking like tehteh.

You can easily find the value here:

So no other stats matter? Seems you put a lot of confidence in that stat.

Let's have another bet on fWAR between the 2 for the season. I'll take bumgarner -0.2 to make it fair

Bumgarner -0.2 I would guess is useless in this case. no one is saying Gausman is clearly better, or better at all. rather, they're similar and MadBum to Gausan wouldn't be a big upgrade.

Whatever actually happened matters because that's what happened, and what "should have happened" is meaningless. For predicting what is going to happen you can't beat xwOBA plus ballpark effects. Most folks who despise advanced stats can't seem to grasp that nuance.

Sounds like a good bet. Name your stakes. My only caveat is that Gausman is healthy and makes his next start, since we don't yet know if either guy was injured yesterday.

    Newcomb was a 3 and not a 4 last year with a .301 xwOBA.

Maybe instead we end up bringing back our old friend Michael Minor (last year of his contract, due $9.5M total so we'd be on the book for around half or so)

I was a huge Mike Minor fanboy, so I'd love this.

I'm not cheering anyone on and have zero desire to moderate a message board. I'm just continually blown away at your willingness to be a petty asshole and the board management's willingness to let you be one to basically all of the other posters.

You were right there backing him up on every post. You only show up to post about me. You are my 2nd board stalker. For some reason I am moderator in a section nobody ever uses and I’m completely uninterested in using, so relax hero.

You don’t see the irony in that statement about being a petty asshole? Surely it doesn’t take a sales engineer to see it?

    Cy and his gifs......totally awesome.

And Tapate, save the brown-nose comment. Cy and I are really not great friends but I will acknowledge someone who is good at their craft like Enscheff, who does not like me either. Actually I think both dislike me, but I brought, not bring now, to the board that people respect.

lol, I can't believe a ****ing code jockey is trying to talk **** to me about jumping from engineering to sales. Hmm... make more money, do less busy work and just get to design and sell? It was a no-brainer for me.

You're a petty douchebag, who basically gets his jollies off proving people wrong on the internet. You lead a pathetic existence, my friend.

I can promise software engineers in this area with 10+ years experience make more than you do haha. That’s a laughable comment. Good one!

And you get your jollies commenting about a person you call pathetic in some lame attempt to be an internet white knight.

How pathetic is that? Don’t you have a sprinkler system to sell?

Oh really? How come I make more than any of the 125 software developers that we have on site here, including ones with 10+ years experience? You're trying to promise something that you have no clue about.

and lol that you call yourself a "software engineer". You're a code jockey. You don't engineer ****.

    Nice edit.

I design and sell automated logistics systems for warehouse applications. Conveyors, cranes, racking, WMS, etc.... Ironically, we sub out the fire protection schemes and installation.

EDIT: Also, notice I never said that I make more money than you do. I said I make more money than I did being an engineer and more than our software developers do, even the experienced ones.
