Things would be even worse if the homeplate ump weren’t calling strikes an inch off the outside edge. At least it’s consistent, though.

I’d wager most pitchers are at least a tick better with McCann catching them. He’s the class of his position when it comes to game calling and pitch framing.
This HP Ump sucks for both sides. Might be an interesting night.
