    Braves tv deal

    Link

Braves tv deal is supposedly around $35m but the CEO of liberty says it is actually $83m and runs through 2027

This is infuriating. The Braves have conveniently allowed the fans to believe we had a really low TV deal so we could reconcile our low payrolls. Turns out this has never been the case.

We already know the Braves total revenue figure. Whether that revenue comes from TV or tickets or hotdogs or beer or raffles doesn’t really matter.

Bottom line is the bulk of the revenue is being soaked up by debt incurred from the new park. Who knows if more will ever make its way to payroll.

What if the revenue came from knitting circles and bake sales?

Found what the link went to and read the articles by both Cunningham and Tucker.

I assume that misleading(lying) to the public is etched in granite and part of an oath that each Braves FO puke must take. Starting with McGuirk and tricking down to to broadcasters it does not enhance fan support.
