I would be totally comfortable talking about baseball in a different light than Hank Aaron
cause i know at the end of the day we both would agree with his most recent quote and we could have a good laugh
"Hank Aaron on whether he would visit White House: 'There's nobody there I want to see'"
such a weird statement though for that to be the judge of something though.
also weird that you are somehow putting AA in a negative light cause of a trade rumor that never happened
"For there is always light, if only we are brave enough to see it. If only we are brave enough to be it." Amanda Gorman

You're right. I never understood how Bobby Cox and then Fredi let Chipper decide when he would play. That was crazy. Chipper is always going to want to play. And just about every player is like that. The manager is the one being paid to have the right perspective on rest and playing time.
"I am a victim, I will tell you. I am a victim."
"I am your retribution."
They made an offer to Brantley. He had a similar offer from Houston and chose to play for them. So we moved on to Muk. And partly because we signed him to a good value contract we had a chance to sign Keuchel.
But on the different topic of playing time and rest, I think Muk should be platooned with Camargo getting the starts when there is a lefty on the mound. And when you have a run of right handed starters I would also rest Muk on day games after night games (in this case have Joyce play right). And looking at our recent series, he has been getting about a game off per series.
Against the Giants he wasn't in the lineup in game 4. Then he played 5 straight games against the Cards and gnats (with an off day between those two series). He wasn't in the lineup for game 3 of the Tigers series. Then he played all 3 games in Pittsburgh (I would have given him a game off). Then he was out of the lineup for game 3 against Miami. So in the past few weeks, Snit has maybe given him 1 or 2 games more than I would have.
To the extent Snit got off track it was during a period when Camargo was struggling and Muk was hot. This is understandable although I think it is a mistake to try to ride the hot hand in these situations. We know from a larger sample that Camargo should be in against lefties for him.
