Isn't that the rub with pitchers? Teams lose control over them before they get good, then someone else enjoys the benefits.

Precisely why I was critical of last year's decisions to put Bryse Wilson and Kyle Wright on the big club. The world doesn't end with decisions like that, but it sure truncates a lot of organizational flexibility in terms of options and service-time considerations.
