Only Allard and Soroka pitched as 18 year olds in Low A. And Woods-Richardson has put up better numbers than them. Age when drafted. Age for level. Those are very important considerations when looking at prospects. We have gotten a little spoiled with some of our recent prodigies. But when an 18-year old does very well in Full Season A ball, that is a very good sign. See Soroka, Albies and Acuna. It is not a guarantee (see Allard). But it is a very good sign. An 18 year old dominating at that level has a much better chance of success than a 19 year old dominating at that level.
