It’s been established Riley isn’t great in the field. It’s also been established how much his bat has helped the offense.

Julio pitching like dog crap and the ump not giving us anything are much bigger problems.
Exit velo of 101.0 is good but not quite “missile” territory (not even in the top five for this game). Yes, Julio’s been pitching like crap, and the cabbage umpire hasn’t helped—but it’ll also be worth monitoring if Riley continues to provide enough with his bat to offset his glove. At least on nights when pitch-to-contact, flyball-inducers like Julio pitch, it might be worth sitting Riley in favor of a healthy Inciarte.

We need a LONG inning to get the rain going (or just go ahead and take the lead).

Inciarte isn’t available. This team is not even near the same offensively with him in the line-up. But ok...you are right....Inciarte would have caught that one and saved one or two of those runs. Let’s pretend it’s 4-0.

I hope everyone enjoyed our little hot run we had. Back to regression it be.

You must be having trouble reading semantic modifiers like verbal tense and adjectival aspect. I’ve bolded some for you.

Still think Toussaint’s future is in the rotation, more so than Newcomb’s is. But I like both as multi-inning bullpen weapons this season.

Okay. I'm not greedy. I'll take 8 runs this inning.

I just want them to claw back some of that sweet run-differential.

nats vs phillies rain out again, this probably means the Braves will face different pitchers vs the Nats than originally scheduled.
