Fried pitched much better than what his line showed.

He did finish better thanks to some very good sliders. That pitch he made to Cano on the DP ball was key in keeping them at three runs. But before hand he was having trouble throwing his off-speed pitches for strikes and falling behind (including three ball counts to the 8 and 9 hitters), and he got away with some straight 93 mph fastballs down the middle. But again I liked how he finished that 5th.
