Ender is a gold glove center fielder one year removed from a 200 hit year. If you think his bat plays up as even average...he’s worth something...especially with his contract.
In taking Gausman they would basically be gaining back a pitcher with another year of control..they might do that(doubtful). Would be the best case for us.
It will probably be Inciarte+ a couple of our pitchers plus Demeritte/Duvall & one none top ten prospect.
We have a lot of assets to burn right now.. We can do this deal and not even blink, while keeping most/all of our top ten in tact.
This doesn’t net us an ace, but is a much better option than Madbum to me.
Ender has never had a season with the Braves with a wRC+ or OPS+ above 100. He's a slightly below to below average bat. He has three straight years of 3 win baseball before this season, though, so I don't think he is valueless on the market. But I don't know how seriously teams are going to take his rough start to this season.
People seem to forget that Braves have given up on Folty and have no room for Duvall. That's an all-star pitcher and a 2nd Gold Glove outfielder. Include Inciarte and one top pitching prospect (maybe even Davidson or Beck) this can get done.
A lot of small sample takes in the last few posts. Camargo--ignoring 2017 & 2018. Inciarte--ditto. Folty--ditto.
All three are best assessed based on their entire body of work over 2017-2019. The three year picture is a much more accurate take on what they are likely to give us in the second half than the three month picture. Way too early to give up on valuable players who we will likely be turning to in the second half.

A lot of overvaluation of Braves assets going on in this thread...
Rule of thumb: if fans are fine with a trade package, it's too little value.
The Braves aren't getting Marcus Stroman for the spare parts the Braves no longer want/need.
Johan's '17 was driven by a .364 BABIP and strong defense. last year was unsustainable for different reasons.
i'm not suggesting he's not solid, or won't be in the future. i'd prefer someone more reliable, tho, and think he could bring back some nice value based on his two unsustainable seasons.

Camargo's .300-.310 xwOBA in 2017-2018 has been telling us he isn't a good hitter for years, and I've detailed it many times. Some people just refused to listen and still think he's an everyday player.
No team with a modern FO thinks he is an everyday player because they are looking at a stat equivalent to xwOBA. He is a utility player that should be utilized against LHP, and nothing more.

He's a switch-hitting five-position player with some pop. Long term, he's a utility guy. I don't know what his value to other teams is. I don't think they see him as a starter, so I don't foresee him being on any other team's must-have list. But I really don't care about what his WAR is at this point. He's a pretty good insurance plan for us.
Highly doubt the Jays will trade Stro for MLB parts, they'll want some prospects back for him.
I’m fine with Stroman.
I would be more content with just running things back with Gausman once he’s healthy. He will accomplish 90% of what Stro does without any of the cost.
I would much prefer to keep our powder dry for a true rotation upgrade.

switch-hitter who can't hit a lick LH. five-positions, 1 or 2 of which he actually plays well (liability in the OF, not good at SS).
i think some team may still view him as young and give some extra weight to last year. i don't think anyone views him as any type of coup tho.
