Hopefully a few days away allowed Riley to clear his head and watch his recent ABs compared to the ones from a month ago.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

Riley has been swinging at the same pitches and missing the same pitches during his entire MLB stint.

The only thing different now is the luck faded.

yes. everyone hopes that their teams players reach the 1% and defy all odds. that said the Braves recent wave of top position prospects (Albies, Acuna, and Swanson) have all met or exceeded their potential, imo. Not everyone will hit and I think of the Braves position guys ranked in the top 50 of the last few years (and that includes current guys in Waters and Pache) that Riley is the one that has the highest bust chance.

I’m commenting on what Riley currently is, and what type of production that likely will result.

He’s young and can improve, and I’ve detailed exactly what he needs to improve. I certainly hope he improves in those areas, just like all Braves fans do.

I know we criticize the umpires a lot (many times deserved), but as evidenced there, being the home plate ump is not an easy job

Will this game replace/count as his scheduled game behind the plate tomorrow?? Or are we faced with Angel behind the plate for 2 games in a row.
