I wouldn't be surprised to see a trade for an OF. Don't know who that would be, but given the way Riley has been struggling and Duvall still in Gwinnett, it is something that has to be considered. I don't know why Joyce doesn't see more time. He's not that much either, but he could have been in either LF or RF as part of today's "Sunday line-up."

Especially vs a RHP. If Riley is so bad he has to bat 8th, why not stick Joyce in there with the platoon advantage?

Pache isn't coming up unless he's playing everyday, and I was thinking the guy they acquire would be more of a 4th OFer.

Pache has over 450 PAs at AA (and would be at 500+ by the end of July), so it wouldn't be unprecedented to call him up if they think he's the best everyday option in CF.

Actually developmental purposes. I don't have access to the athletic but I saw the snippet about it. They wanted him to stop swinging at pitches out of the zone as much as he did.
