That changeup to Albies wasn't a good pitch, but he was probably timed for a fastball instead.
But anyway, it's pretty obvious that the Braves hitting philosophy isn't taking tons of pitches, it's swing at the first good strike you see. McCann made it fairly obvious, and Acuna's done it a lot (being VERY aggressive in favorable counts).
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.
Ump isn't giving the edges of the strike zone to either pitcher, it appears.

Let's see if we can keep Robles from looking like Mike Trout this time.
Good pitch Mike
Kinda expected the high PC by Soroka in the 2nd. After 7 pitch 1st, he paced the dugout the whole time the Braves batted in the 1st.
This ump good lord
It seems a little early in Riley’s career to peg him as a platoon hitter vs LHP, but in a playoff season it might be the correct move for the Braves. He pretty clearly can’t handle anything moving away from him right now.
Chip: “That’s the first time I’ve seen Soroka wear that protector on his arm.”
He’s literally been wearing it since the game after he got hit.
FP just said he thought Robles was approaching Acuña status lmao.
Man this is just like game one. Hope they don’t hang an eighter on Soroka next inning.
Coppy
Just can’t stop taking walks smh
Shanks is pissed.
Coppy
Not the D I would have liked to see from Riley there
