As soon as I saw that he got the call, I knew he would be starting over Joyce. Snitker is one of the reasons I wanted Demeritte over Duvall. Once the injury hit, I was hoping it would be Ortega.

I liked signing Ortega for depth but I don't see why you'd want him. He couldn't even crack a .600 OPS his last two shots in the Majors. He was an easy out most games vs Miami last year.

Duvall has two homers and 5 RBI's in only 6 AB's against Eflin, hitting .667 overall in those ab's. So I cannot question starting Duvall vs this righty.

Cox always liked to get guys up from AAA into games right away. Get them right into the action. I imagine Snitker has similar preferences.
