Wright and AJax are showing up.

I wonder if Waters will be promoted to AAA.

    7 IP, 1 run, 2 walks, 8 K's for Wright.

Good in the minors, gets lit up in the majors. Shrugs.

Won’t poopoo Wright’s start but isn’t that team like 78 games under .500. Maybe I was thinking of Durham.

I'm down on Wright like a lot of people and at this point I hope he can just become a reliable backend starter like what we've gotten from Julio the last 3 years.

I guess the Braves will have Anderson in AAA to start the year in 2020. But with Keuchel most likely gone and the uncertainty around Julio(more likely we exercise the option)/Folty/Gausman there will be plenty of opportunity for Wright next year.

But, you have to give him 10 starts so that he can get over what may just be nerves pitching at the big league level. If the Braves can't break in young pitchers during this run then its going to end much sooner than we want.

It seemed to me on his last start with Atlanta to have four or five good pitches. He just didn’t throw strikes around the fourth inning. Hopefully he’ll get a few starts in September (or possibly August) to prove himself MLB ready.

Pen will also get a boost with Webb back. I’m bullish on our new sinker RP too.

I think Wright probably can be a three, which is very valuable.

Nothing that's happened this year particularly lowers my opinion of him. Just like spring training did not raise it.

Wright has serious pitch execution issues that get exploited at the MLB level, but he probably gets away with them at the MiLB level.

His stuff isn't quite as good as I hoped, but it's good enough to be a MLB SP. Whether he can improve enough at the MiLB level to translate to MLB success, or if he needs to get beat up at the MLB level for a while in another uniform is uncertain.

At his current age it is now a race between his stuff declining and his execution improving, and the winner of that race will determine if he does anything of note.

If Wright is still issuing bad walks in AAA, it's not going to translate very well to bigs where hitters can fight off pitches several times in an AB and take pitches that are just outside.

One worry I get about Anderson is all the highilghts I've seen of him were swing and miss on pitches I think a lot of hitters at the MLB level will get a foul tip off making him work the count longer and putting him under stress to make a perfect pitch.

We saw what happened with Wright in that game against Washington. He kept throwing pitches that he could get away with for K's in the minors, that major league hitters were fouling off constantly or taking for a ball. Then he kept overthrowing and missing the same spot over and over. These are pitches he was throwing mid 90's high at the letters that guys in the minors will swing and miss, but in the majors it's a foul to the screen or fouled off to the stands.

I haven't seen any Anderson highlights, but this is the type of thing that can get results in MiLB but won't translate to MLB.

Really wish we had access to better MiLB data.

I think the inability to hit a spot is something that might be able to be worked out.

Newk used to have that problem and I think he showed it again in a recent bad outing, but for most part he’s improved that flaw.

I’m still in on Wright, but at the same time I would move him for a high level player with control

Anderson I worry about as well but would probably hold for a really, really good player.
