Not an ideal game, tho not a back breaking loss by any means.
Greene hasn’t looked good, but we have already enjoyed the benefits from a deeper pen.
All is well.
Greene was due a big regression as his numbers were great not matching his career. Martin was the best pick-up we made IMO. Greene might be worse than Jackson, so far he has been awful.
Greene's been unlucky but he clearly wasnt as good as he was pitching in Detroit.
As the late, great CrimsonCowboy would say: Go get ‘em tomorrow.
one great thing from this series is how well the holdovers in the pen pitched. Jackson, Tomlin, Newk, Swarzak, Blevins all looked great
"I am a victim, I will tell you. I am a victim."
"I am your retribution."
Greener shouldn't be the closer. He's okay but he's not dominant.
greene is a fake closer
"I am a victim, I will tell you. I am a victim."
"I am your retribution."
Greene wasn't great in any year before this season. His FIP was two runs higher than his era this season. Tigers were wise to sell high on him. He's not a high velo impact arm. I said it in the trade thread, he is and was due for regression. AA was applauded for shoring up the bullpen at the deadline. But all he did was sell low on Allard for a rental, take on $19 million for a guy that used to be a dominant reliever, emphasis on used to be, and gave up Wentz for a historically ineffective reliever having a career year. I hope I'm wrong and have to eat my words, but I was not impressed and remained as such.
Y’all really love to overreact, don’t you
