Hopefully Hech. can keep hitting against his old team the Mets, I haven't seen him hit this much even for short periods in years. Not since a few hot streaks he had in Miami. Good for him and the Braves.
I’m not trying to be an asshole, but trying to steal 3rd with the winning run, even with Hamilton, would be completely idiotic. Hech is fast enough that he’s going to score from 2nd on just about any hit. Pinch-running for him there makes no sense.
Now, if he was on 1st base as the winning run, I might be able to see it.
Not enough of a delta between Hecher and Hamilton with a short bench. Maybe with expanded rosters.

He's not the fastest guy in baseball anymore... statcast shows he's more around the 10th-15th fastest guy... right around Acuna's speed. He's very fast, but his speed is not exceptional anymore whether you want to believe it or not... stick to doing whatever the hell pointless job you do please... because your job is obviously not understanding basic comprehension.
In fact, Hamilton comes in at 16th place in the majors with a 29.5 ft/sec sprint speed
Acuna is second fastest on the team at 29.3 ft/sec good for 31st in the league.

You don't need to steal, just bunt Hamilton to third and Charlie's fly ball wins it. That is asking less than having to get a hit. Plus outside of the GS Ortega hasn't been able to buy a hit even when he hits it on a line. The Royals won a world series using the speedy players the right way. If you don't see using Hamilton that way come playoff time then I wouldn't want you managing my team.

There were very few scenarios where Hamilton's speed would have made a difference over Hecheverria in that situation. It's not like Hech wouldn't have scored on most singles. If he was on first it could have worked, but I wouldn't. Hech is decent baserunner. However if the game had continued, there was a fair chance that we might regret unnecessarily burning a position player. Heck stealing third would be no guarantee for Hamilton especially considering that everyone in the ballpark would have known he was thinking about it. He might have gotten thrown out and taken the bat out of Acuna's hands.

Looks like we have a new poster who has stepped into the role of wannabe expert.
Ronald on pace for 6.3 fWAR. Doing so would make him just the 21st person to have over 10 WAR through their age 21 season

lol, you're the only one that is trying to make this into a debate about who's the fastest in MLB. I never made such a claim, I even noted that he was right around Acuna's speed in a post before you while also noting that Hech. has MLB average speed. So who's not understanding basic comprehension? You need a mirror!
That said, Acuna is also very fast and someone you could use as I suggested if not starting. But since he is a starter he's not an option, obviously.
The point was giving your team the best chance to score without a hit. Yes, Hech. scores on that fly ball if at third. But maybe Ortega's bunt is so-so and they nail Hech. at third. That is possible as he only has average speed. Hamilton running makes that very unlikely. Plus a number of us suggested Hamilton, including nsacpi, before we knew Flowers would walk too. I thought maybe he hits a grounder to someone, Hamilton could score on it breaking on contact. Plus Charlie could've hit a shallow fly ball and got Hamilton in whereas average speed Hech. tags but cannot go. So again, just giving your team the best shot at scoring as you will have to do in the playoffs.
Also, those that said no you cannot lose Hech. from the game. Well, worst case you were pinch hitting Charlie anyway so he could stay in and play short.
