When Flowers is hitting behind you, swinging at a pitch that should be a predictable fastball is a good thing. He got a fastball up, which he was surely looking for, but it was a little too up. But the strategy and thought process is good. Get into predictable counts and do damage, whether it’s 0-0 or 3-0.
It's a good idea if it's a good pitch to hit. It wasn't. I don't think Charlie is good enough of a hitter to play that game.
