Bowman now saying that Neck will play in some simulated games next week, and might be activated next weekend
Did we ever get that update on Donaldson’s suspension?

He wasn't healthy then. It was clear looking at his batting profile and sprint speed numbers. Something was off. He's still a ~3 WAR player and the 2nd best OF on the team.
That said we can hope that at least one of Neck/Ender are healthy enough to start in the playoffs. Either one with Joyce and Acuna in the OF makes the lineup a lot better with a righty on the mound.

As I demonstrated right before he hit the DL, Ender was most likely playing hurt almost the entire first half. I showed how poor his sprint speed and exit velocity numbers were, which strongly suggested injury.
Healthy Ender is the 2nd best OFer in the organization, even if he should have his PAs vs LHP limited.
I have no idea why Riley is in vs a RHP, but maybe the hope is he figures something out now that the division is all but sealed up

Stuff that Turner. Great move to 1st by Julio
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;......
And, while with silent, lifting mind I’ve trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Sure, he could've been. If he was for the majority of the first half though, that's either on him for not being forthright with the coaching staff, or on the coaching staff for continuing to play him even while knowing he was hurt, In terms of simple OPS he wasn't very far off from career norms - he's a career .660 OPSer in the first half and was at .631 this year. In reality he's not nearly as good at the plate as he showed when he returned - he has a great .801 OPS post-ASB in his career, but was an otherworldly .931 in the 3 weeks after he came back. Regardless, I'll gladly take an .800 OPS Ender for the playoffs - that would be wonderful.
And yeah, Riley is just getting an opportunity to prove he belongs on the postseason roster since we have a playoff spot all but locked up at this point. His defensive versatility would be nice since he can play 3 spots reasonably well. He just needs to prove he can hit more than down the middle fastballs
Baseball logic dictates that the Braves will get shut down by Voth tonight.
