Post-Season Honors Piling Up for Braves

A boatload of postseason honors have begun piling up for Atlanta Braves farmhands.

Beginning with today's announcement that the Braves' own Minor League Players of the Year are Trey Harris and Ian Anderson.
Harris, a bit of an upset over Drew Waters, was nonetheless dominant in his first full pro season.

In 56 games with Rome to begin the year, Harris was .366/8/44 with a .437 OBP and 1.031 OPS
Moving to the hapless Florida Fire Frogs, played 34 games, long enough to make an impression with .303/4/17.
From there, Harris moved to Mississippi, where he helped fill the void of callups by going .281/2/12 in 41 games.

All compiled, Harris played in 131 games, picking up an impressive 152 hits, including 26 doubles, 7 triples and 14 homers while driving in 73 runs. That landed him a .323 batting average.

Anderson did not have to pack as much during the season, moving only once, from Mississippi to Gwinnett on August 1st. While with the M-Braves, he was 7-5, 2.68 in 21 starts. With Gwinnett, he showed he is on the doorstep, going 1-2, 6.57 in five starts.

Ryan Waters was named the MVP of the Southern League, leading the league in average (.319), hits (134), doubles (35) and triples (9) despite spending the final month in Gwinnett.

Cristian Pache and Tucker Davidson (top lefty) were named to the SL postseason all-star team.

Each team's Player of the Year (named by the Braves)

GWINNETT: Rafael Ortega and Bryse Wilson

MISSISSIPPI: Waters and Pache (co-players) and Anderson/Davidson (co-pitchers)

FLORIDA: Trey Harris (only played 34 games there) and Hayden Deal

ROME: Justin Dean and Dilmer Mejia

DANVILLE: Bryce Ball and Ricky DeVito

GC BRAVES: Michael Harris and Eudi Asencio

DSL BRAVES: Deivi Estrada and Roddery Munoz
