It is an interesting choice in light of the fact Fried has been our best starter in the second half. Fried did tail off some in September. But this mainly was due to a higher HR/FB rate. His peripherals in September remained very good: 8.2 K/9 and 1.8 BB/9.
I have to imagine they think Fried is a more viable weapon out of the BP, and a properly rested Soroka will round back into early season form.

It's hard to disagree too strongly with that decision, especially when we know it is imperative to make Goldy face a RHP as often as possible.
