Hamels > Wood by far, sure the money could be better value for Wood. But Hamels has proven to be pitch alot of innings every year. Wood not so much.
While Braves punishment was bad, if it doesnt happen, we dont have AA or an analytical front office. Loss of international spending has hurt though, big time.

Beltran should receive a suspension too! He was supposedly the "ring leader" of the players.
Crane just fired Hinch and Luhnow.

Jim Crane, the Astros owner, is having a live press conference. He just announced he fired Hinch and Luhnow minutes ago via phone.
If Cora is the one who instituted this whole scam, then brought it over to Boston, I wonder if he gets a longer suspension?
Get off my lawn!
I'd take Hinch over Snit if we go 1 and done or miss the playoffs. He's a great manager.

Maybe. I mean they cheated sure. But why is this even a thing. Why are teams so stupid to think a game with cameras at every angle might produce cheaters. Why not change signs throughout the game. That way if a team is cheating that next inning should be comical. I just don’t get why sign stealing is illegal in the first place. Really the easiest thing to protect.
Coppy
Hinch might get another gig after his suspension is up - the report seems to indicate he had nothing to do with the scheme and opposed it, but took no steps to stop it and got punished as a result. On the other hand, managers are fungible, and I don't know if anyone thinks that highly of Hinch.
Luhnow's a more complicated case. He indisputably constructed one of the league's best front offices, but it's pretty clear the entire culture was toxic, and if you're an owner do you want to deal with that nonsense?

Just what we need. Acuņa tearing an ACL doing non-baseball activities before camp.
