May never see 3.7 WAR again but how much WAR could he and say Castellanos or Grandal bring? Still would/should leave a bit of cash for a reliever maybe? Im talking just the money speculated to pay Donaldson.

I'm actually curious in how much money McGuirk gives AA to spend on the budget.
On one hand, AA maxed the budget out this year after bringing in Keuchel and Melancon. Does McGuirk let him bring it back that high after this NLDS loss, or does he let him keep it around hte same level and make some personnel changes (Snitker)?
Forever Fredi
Why spend your 1st and 2nd draft picks on SSs if you want to extend Dansby
It will be interesting what AA does from here. Todays game sucked, but i thought the team was too flawed anyway to win it all, was just delaying the expected, but wish we coulda broke this ****ing curse.
I thought the biggest hole was, the lineup... After the top 4, there's just way too many easy outs for pitchers to go through. Not even sure how possible it is, but getting a RH OF, an upgrade/everyday C, and keeping JD should be the biggest priorities. Get some value BP arms, and roll from there.
Rotation wise, i do wonder if they bring back Julio, he had a good year all things considered but that 12 mil could be put to better use to fill out the rest of the roster.
I should have been clearer. 1st and 2nd ROUND picks on SS. Langoliers was a compensation pick IIRC. Further, I would not spend 1st round or 2nd round bonus money on Camargos replacement or a hoped for bench piece.

Man I can’t believe how stale our offense has been. We have to get more offense in the offseason to lengthen the lineup.
Any good COF trade candidates? Dont like the free agency landscape
Said coming in, i was most concerned with the hitting more than the pitching. Other than tonight, and late innings of Game 1, pitching was fine. Offense has been a total no show this series. Pretty much only Acuna, Duval, and Swanson have been ok, and Albies. Everyone else, total no show.
Lots of teams with corner OFers that may be open to trade for prospects. Chicago Trib writing that Schwarber may be available, nothing wrong with Castellanos especially if the DH is coming next CBA, Soler may be avail, Texas may have someone as viable stopgap til Pache/Waters arrive. Aside from that I know lots of posters are burned on Riley and DuVal but someone in Atlanta must love Riley.
