I'm a little surprised the Dodgers are parting with Pederson knowing that they'll only have Betts for a year, but I suppose hoping for a Pollock or Kike bounceback isn't the worst fallback plan.

I don't know... that's a top 50 prospect for Kenta freaking Maeda... a 2-3 win 31 year old pitcher who's never pitched more than 153 innings since 2016

Luis Rengifo to the Dodgers for Pederson... a 45 FV middle infielder who's a good defender... light with the bat. So he'll go to the Dodgers and become the next superstar I'm sure.

Dodgers fleeced here if Verdugo is the biggest name they give up and they keep Downs, Gonsolin, Ruiz, May, AND Lux. Christ that team is stacked.

Sounds like the Dodgers are planning on doing whatever it takes to sign Mookie long term.

There was one unconfirmed report that he had an ask the BoSox wouldn't meet, and then he's on record roughly a googol times now publicly saying that he isn't signing any extension with anyone and is going to become a free agent.

Personally, I find all the on the record statements more compelling until proven otherwise.

BOS gets: Alex Verdugo, Brusdar Graterol

Separately, LAD trades Joc Pederson to LAA for Luis Rengifo

He's also insanely cheap and signed for four more years. He had some decent value there.
