Yeah...I think the plan with Anderson will probably be to give him a couple months in AAA before calling him up. So we could begin the season with a 5th starter who is a stopgap.

Try to pry Grandal to Atl and loose McCann and Flowers, keep Cervelli to spell Grandal.

Re-sign Donaldson if he'll accept a 2 year deal for in the neighborhood of 50mil. If not, Moose will be available. Camargo could get another shot as a 3rd option.

Let Keuchel walk as well as Teheran. Soroka, Folty, Fried to build rotation around.

Markakis for 6mil(- 2 mil buy out) might still be in play for Braves as a bench guy. I wouldn't want him as an every day OFer. The question is, would Snits, IF HE"S STILL WITH TEAM, sit Markakis in faivor of Ender. He'd move Marte to CF in order to play Markakis.over Ender.

Questions remain about Charlie, Camargo, Joyce, Duvall, Ortega, and Hamilton. Riley, Pache, and others fall into the questionable category.
The only reason i wouldnt want Nick back is Snit would start him and play him everyday, if he's used in an actual ****ing platoon, he's fine for that price. Marte is an ideal trade option, Bucs are rebuilding, but what a trade package even look like, Wright+?

Yeah! We don't want a Cy Young type Ace! Some young guys that have struggled in the majors are so much better!

I dont think he will, he's a useful piece, but 3ish mil for a backup OF is excessive.

Well at some point, we're gonna have to see the kids pitch. If you mean Gerrit Cole, i doubt the Braves are even in the ballpark for where he'll get.

I don’t see why not. We should be getting a bump in payroll and with DK coming off the books that’s 14 million right there. I really wish we wouldn’t have taken on Melancon’s whole contract. They’ll have to do something to lengthen the lineup and upgrade catcher so that would solve 2 issues.

Yeah! Why open up the pocket book and give a Cy Young Ace money when we can keep it for ourselves! It would be much better in our own bank accounts!

Not like we have already seen those kids pitch and fail miserably!

I don't see Duvall being brought back. If Neck returns I can see AA bringing a manager that actually would platoon them.

Wouldn't mind seeing if we could swing a deal for Mitch Hanniger after an injury-plagued down year. He'd be a cost-controlled RH bat, who would cost less than $1m.

That could give us an OF of Riley/Ender, Acuna, and Hanniger.

I'm not saying i wouldnt pay Cole, i just doubt AA is in that ballpark. If Cole doesnt have an opt out, those pitcher contracts are usually pretty bad on the backend of it. He's probably gonna surpass Price's contract, so i dont know if i'd do 7/220+.

The offense needs to be AA's focus, too many easy outs, gotta lengthen the lineup.

I dont see why AA had to take on the whole MM deal, maybe half of it, but all of it is just so excessive. He has alot of players to replace, and not an insane amount of money to use.

By the way.. I really do wonder what a home playoff games means to the team finances... I estimate at least $5M in additional revenue per game. Getting bounced in the LDS cost us likely at least 3 more playoff games... or at least $15M in revenue

By far the most head scratching move of the AA era.

But it did show a clear sign that they were serious about winning and were willing to pay for it

I don't think we win 2 games without the bullpen enhancements

I'd try to bring back Martin if the money is right, our pen got ****ed once he went down, and in the regular season, things sorted themselves out when he was there. Martin/Greene/MM is a very good backend, with everyone else behind them.

Sturg 33 said-- Markakis - $2M (0.4) coming off books.

Correct figure is 4 mil off books if option is not picked up. 6mil option minus 2 mil buy out if option is NOT picked up.

Another question asiked some where was about projected Arby figures. The "Change of mind set" thread spells out the arby figures.
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;......

And, while with silent, lifting mind I’ve trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Was doing YoY calcs in my head.

Markakis made $4M this year... after $2M buyout, we will save $2M in YoY

Yeah! We don't wanna pay real money for one of the best pitchers in all of baseball! We clearly don't have a giant hole in our rotation!

What a circlejerk sports are. I just watched a team I have invested hundreds of hours into get historically embarrassed, now I find myself two hours later estimating arbitration raises.

    Wish I could quit.
