I like it.
The Braves have so much money coming off the books for next season and tons of prospect capital to work with moving forward.
Trade Ender and Greene and it really doesnt stop AA from still going after Arenado....also gives him more leverage.
How did we get Ozuna on a one-year deal? Way to solve the clean-up problem while maintaining our flexibility. Impressive.
AA waits everyone out and comes up a winner once again.
We just said **** it. I guess for AA saving money and prospects > than forfeiting a draft pick.
We didn’t commit more years to Ozuna bc we have Pache and Waters waiting in the wings and don’t want to block them, and it works for Ozuna bc he wants to re-establish value for next offseason.
Also that’s likely why nobody signed him bc they didn’t want to forfeit the pick. Just like with Keuchel last year.
I wonder if we have much money left, and if we do if we make another move for someone like KB or Arenado?
Ozuna really seemed like something clicked late in the year. Was never that high in him, but he scared the crap out of me in the playoffs.
That ain't happening, besides minor fill moves, we are done. Camargo/Riley it is at 3rd.
I still think the Braves go after either Arenado or Bryant. If they land one of those guys we'd definitely be the favorites not only in the East but for the WS.
Current payroll is at 150 million, 11th highest in baseball.

does Markakis move to a bench role now? Ozuna should be starting full time. yes?

It is weird that Ozuna signed for a deal roughly worth what he turned down from the team he publicly stated he wanted to stay with in their qualifying offer.
