I think Bumgarner and Wheeler will accept QOs.

Your reasoning on the above QO. I would think a QO for any pitcher would be difficult decision with risk of injury clouding any future contract. JMO

Nevermind. I think I get it after 30 minutes

Cole will go to the Yankees or Angels.

Phillies will try to upgrade at third (Moose or Donaldson) and will also look for a starting pitcher. Someone like Keuchel or Hamels.

Mets will also likely be in the market for a third baseman.

We will not be getting a bargain on either Moose or Donaldson. Or Grandal for that matter. AA will have to stretch to land any of those three.

What are the Phillies payroll limits? Looks like they're sitting at about 190m before they do anything.

Spotrac has them at 183 with arb but have options on Neshek at 7, Vargas at 8, and Hughes for 3 mil. Cesar Hernandez is projected 11 mil in arb as well. They should have some money to spend, but i'm not sure they'll get a Rendon, Stras, Cole type, maybe a tier down. One of those would put them close to the lux tax.

On one hand, they've kind of pot committed at this point, but will they pay the tax?

I think they will try to add a third baseman and at least one starting pitcher. But they won't go after really expensive guys like Rendon and Cole.

    I'm never right, but...
    Josh Donaldson - Braves
    Gerrit Cole - Angels
    Anthony Rendon - Dodgers
    Marcell Ozuna - Reds
    Madison Bumgarner - Phillies
    Yasiel Puig - Braves
    Cole Hamels - Yankees

I have some doubts that the Dodgers will go after Rendon. Gavin Lux will probably take over short and Seager can slide over to third.

Many people calling JD to ATL. What sort of contract do you think he gets? I'm thinking 2 years + club option for total of $55 mil.

Cole Ozuna Bumgarner and Rendon somewhat certain to get QO so you can cross them off the wish list if happens. Don't think AA will give up 2nd highest draft pick and half mil international pool money in addition to what they will demand.

I think it happens too. JD seemed to have fun here and had an excellent year. I’ll say 3 years 63 million with an option that won’t be picked up more than likely. I just hope we can turn around and make a trade for a really good COF like Haniger.

Some team, probably a division rival, is going to swoop in and hand him a 4th year guaranteed.
