So AA talked to 27 other GMs and derived info to enable him to delve into the off season somewhat well prepared and it comes back reading like he is the only one chastised by Tony Clark and his police are going to investigate. This. After watching Trump dance around everything that has come out of his mouth for the last three years, AA's statement seems plenty vague enough to walk back.

What would be interesting to see is a chart comparing dollars spent to sign free-agents during the market correction to the WAR those dollars produced. I'd imagine that's something Clark doesn't want front offices to produce - maybe someone here can whip that up to take a look at.

I think it's a safe response, because there might be other GM's willing to stretch the truth a little bit on what they discussed with AA if asked by MLB, and that might give them more leverage.
