Trump is boxed in and able to exercise very little power but still he tries. He doesn't give one hoot about these soldiers but knows pardoning them will ruffle feathers at the Pentagon and the "Deep State". The government itself has turned on Trump and this petty act shows Trump knows it. These pardons also remind other criminals, already and yet to be convicted, that he still has this ability.

Trump is also doing it to attract that segment of the population that's so extremely pro-military that they view this as him supporting the troops in a broadsense.

A good reference for how ****ed we are as a country. A war criminal psychopath can be near the President but if you have been convicted of marijuana possession they consider you a security risk and have to be personally escorted by security to be anywhere near the President.

There are literally people defending this monster on Facebook and calling the other Seals "liars" and "disgraceful." One guy even said he "knows someone" who toured with this guy and said he was a "stand-up guy."
