    Not a bad replacement.
I think having a deep bullpen will more than offset the loss of JD, but Ozuna's a great replacement for him.

Well we have Smith, MM, Greene, Jackson and Minter all with closing experience.

You have some combo of Smith, Greene, MM, Jackson, Minter, Newk possibly, O'Day, Webb, Dayton, Martin, and guys like Ynoa, Walker, Wiegel, maybe Wilson if he cant cut it at SP. That's a deep, deep pen compared to what we've had in the past.

Braves roster is pretty complete with some moveable pieces if we needed to make an in season upgrade at 3B (Seager?) or rotation.

We probably win less games next year, but I think overall we are a better team this year than last.

I think AA waits to see how 2018 and 2019 draft picks do the first half before he considers trading Waters. If we acquire someone like Seager or Haniger midseason, need to know we have bullets in the minors who will be up potentially late 2021 or 2022.

    Agreed.

I should clarify. By “moveable” I mean in terms of both prospects and players with salaries with in house replacements (Ender, Greene, Markakis, Duvall).

i would feel really, really good about a platoon of Camargo/Holt at 3B. think you could get 3 WAR out of that combo fairly easily.

It is hard to believe that the Braves thought they could sign Donaldson for 18m this year, so I would think there are at least a few nickels and dimes left in the money jar.

Maybe not a lot of nickels and dimes.

Still, letting someone pay the Braves playoff 3B for the first 2/3 of the season might be the plan. Particularly if they do want to see what happens with Riley.

Am I remembering correctly that it was reported that regardless they plan on starting Riley in AAA?
