When is Rudy getting his medal
Apparently the anonymous author that wrote a book about Trump is the next to be purged.

I'm just going to take a moment and say told you so. A lot of you were out there celebrating when the Dems brought the articles of impeachment against Trump. I warned that it was a bad idea as it would only make Trump stronger. I warned it would embolden him and energize his base of support. This is exactly what's happened. This is why Pelosi was so hesitant to do it. She knew this was going to be the result.
So to the Democrats out there, I hope impeaching trump was cathartic enough to warrant the power doing it gave him.
No, impeachment was the right move. It brought national attention and focus on his corruption. They should keep impeaching him if they find more. My only complaints is impeachment wasnt broad enough and they wont bring up all the quotes from when Republicans led the House Oversight committee under Obama.

Strange choice of word " cathartic".
As if this was a New Age Exorcism.
I'd much much rather argue tax and spend .
Than be reminded every day this ... seperates familis and denies emergency funds because soeone looked at him wrong.
It was not only the right move, it was constitutionly imperative
As far as politicly expedient ?
Ask Susan Collins or that Ernst woman
Depends on if you are looking at it in a moral sense or looking at it in a pragmatic sense. In a pragmatic, results oriented view, it was the wrong move. You can talk about attention to corruption but the attention is meaningless without results.
The best example I've seen of how attention or awareness is meaningless was from when I was in law school. In a class discussion someone was advocating about how something raised awareness of an issue. A friend of mine said awareness was meaningless. The professor disagreed and my friend pointed to the Starbucks cup in her hand and said "You are an intelligent, educated woman so I'm sure you're aware of the exploitation that occurs on coffee plantations but that awareness didn't keep you from buying your cup of coffee."
Simply bringing attention to Trump's actions is really meaningless if the end result is just a more energized Trump base and a more brazen Trump.
Cathartic as in releasing the pent up frustration that has been caused by 3 years of Trump. I see no other positive result from the impeachment than that.
And impeachment is not a constitutional imperative. The power to impeach is vested in the House and a president shall be removed upon impeachment for and conviction of high crimes and misdemeanors. However, there's no mandate in the constitution that impeachment must occur. It is a discretionary power of the House.
You can say it was morally right and I wont argue with you. However, the results are exactly what I predicted. You can call it a victory if you want but it appears to be a Pyrrhic victory.
And Elaine McCusker come on down. You are next on the Presidents political purges of 2020.

No time like a global pandemic for the "law and order" candidate to fire the IG he appointed who followed the law by briefing Congress on the whistleblower complaint. Biden should come out and say day 1 he will fire the Navy Secretary and replace him with the Navy Captain who was given the boot for not following the narrative and nominate this IG for Attorney General. Those would be some fun confirmation hearings. Would love to hear Republicans try to paint the guy as biased when he has prosecuted many Democrats before.
