Man its pretty easy to dream on this bullpen that we have. The top 6 of Smith, O'day, Martin, Greene, Melancon, and Jackson is pretty filthy, but we also have a bunch of high upside quality youth behind those guys. If we could hit on a couple guys like Davidson, Sobotka, Ynoa, Minter, Weigel, or Walker, then we may not give up a single run after the 6th inning all year long. Okay I'm exaggerating, maybe one run. But the quality depth we have back there is pretty impressive.

It almost makes me even more tempted to try to move Melancon's deal in order to address 3rd base more effectively. If we lost him from this bullpen, I think we have the depth to effectively fill whatever void he may leave behind.

Not Davidson... he's going to be a big time rotation guy... I think he's the real deal.

Hard to be upset about anything with this game. Even against the O’s everyone looked good.

It still pisses me off that he was too stupid to get it fixed, say, 5 years ago

Dumb little story in the few minutes after the game before I changed channel about some kid playing football, going to a new lewvel and getting to meet some of his heroes, and calling home shocked because the players he grew up idolizing knew who his grandpa had been.... just an old boxer named Ali.

Yeah our bullpen depth is pretty absurd. Those last 2 spots if the top 6 are locked in is gonna be interesting and i agree with z i'd stick Davidson in the rotation until he proves he cant.

When robo umps arrive we are going to see a pretty big change in the catcher position.

With framing a non factor we will see pop times and blocking be the only things catchers need to focus on. New techniques opened up by no longer needing to receive the ball calmly and player selection may effectively eliminate the stolen base altogether.

Freeman seems like a moron, at this point. He needs a strong manager.

One of the things that really seems to slow the game down are pick off attempts. I wouldn't mind stolen base attempts going away.

I don’t think platoons matter in early spring. More about reps.

Snit said Camargo and Riley would be alternating at third.

It's kind of comical to hear a manager who already refused to ever use matchup relievers or platoon hitters as what they are say that he's glad we don't have a pen full of matchup relievers because they have to face three batters now. He's the one manager who won't have to change a single thing.

New girl just called Joe Maddon a great manager, so if there's a nuclear explosion in Florida in the next few minutes it's Chipstick's repressed rage.

I've always preferred the low side camera angle over the bird eye view down the middle. Even if the low side doesn't show the strikezone as accurately.
