Looks like the vax isn't stopping hospitalizations as much as previously stated.

Imagine if the natural immunity wasn't blended in with that figure as well?

    from the report

2 doses of the vaccine remain highly effective, with 60 to 85% effectiveness
against infection, 90 to 99% effectiveness against hospitalisation, 90 to 95%
against mortality and 65 to 99% against symptomatic disease

we should be very happy with these results...the vaccines are a godsend

Go read the actual data below (pg 19)

And also understand that at the very least 25% of 'vaccinated' people are really just benefitting from the more durable and effective natural immunity.

it would be reasonable for hospitals to develop a tiering system that would leave the unvaccinated untreated until all other patients were treated

and they should publicly announce it and advertise it widely

And then they'd find out that overwhelming percentage of those hospitalizations were completely unnecessary in the first place.

let the chips fall where they may.

Speaking of chips, in the Kavanaugh "investigation " - did they ever learn who mysteriously payed off his debts

Other questions from Whitehouse addressed Kavanaugh’s unusual debt history. Not long after Trump nominated him, the Washington Post reported that since joining the DC Circuit Court of Appeals as a judge in 2006, Kavanaugh had run up a significant amount of debt that often appeared to exceed the value of his cash and investment assets. His debts on three credit cards, as well as a loan against his retirement account, totaled between $60,000 and $200,000 in 2016, according to his financial disclosure forms. The next year, his debts vanished. When he appeared before the Senate Judiciary Committee last week for his confirmation hearing, his financial disclosure form listed no liabilities aside from his $815,000 mortgage. His disclosures don’t show any large financial gifts, outside income, or even a gambling windfall, as Sotomayor’s had when she hit the jackpot at a Florida casino in 2008 and won $8,283.

I went to doc the other day... there was no questioning of whether I was vaccinated or not. I still am unconvinced that we have some sort of usable tracking system on who is vac'd and who isn't... I think we're pretty quick to just assure people that anyone in hospital is unvaxxed... where I know two people specifically who are in hospital who were double jabbed

as a reminder I am fully supportive of not subsidizing care to folks for their bad health decisions across the board.

but we seem to be picking and choosing where we apply that standard based on political beliefs

strange isn't it that bad drivers get penalized financially and in other ways...what a bizarre concept

The law is actually quite clear. The government can destroy your property in this situation without due process or just compensation.

Being secure in one's property was one of the most sacred rights to the founders. The three sacred rights are to life, liberty, and property. However, no rights are absolute. The situation I described, the house needing to be torn down to stop a fire, is from an actual case. And it has been decided that in order to address exigent circumstances, the general police powers allow the government to destroy your house without due process and without you having a right to any compensation.

A more relatable situation is perhaps someone with tuberculosis who doesn't want to take their meds. The government can deprive them of their liberty (lock them away).

I think people don't really have a great grasp on what the government has the power to do when there's a threat to an entire community.
